We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with general accounting functions. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with tax filings, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of accounting experience preferred with manufacturing industry
- experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay DOE 70K to 74K
